Breakfast, New Sites, New Members and Paul Harris

This past Wednesday we went to Parkview Golf Club for breakfast. We are looking into changing our venue and also how we can make the club more attractive to new members. For the past month or so we had a lower than normal attendance and the table was set for 12. President Steve (the ever optimist) asked them to move the setup a little and add more seats.

Behold!! there were 16 people, and wait for it...... a new member who want to join the club!! Fraye Mathijs went to the Humanitarian Center on the 2nd while Gregor was working there to collect books. He invited Fraye for breakfast and we can say the rest is history.

Welcome back to Mike and Linda Vink, after roaming all over the United States of America I am sure they are glad to be home again. At last we have Mike in our midst and Joan, our immediate past president got the chance to pin his Paul Harris award on him. Well done Mike and now you really have to perform.!!

Feedback from members were positive. The food was prepared to perfection and very tasty. The view is great and the traffic a bliss!.

Please remember our assembly tomorrow start at 09h00 sharp at Twickenham Guest house, 66 Twickenham Ave, Auckland Park. There are quite a few things to discuss and we need as many of the members as possible. Thank you to Mike and Linda for hosting the event.
