Exchange student

Students and Pigeons

Last Wednesday we had Lukas Weber, our short term exchange student from Germany as speaker. It was such a pleasure to listen to him explaining about his home and everything he does. He is a very active young man with a lot on his plate as a 10th grader. Thank you Lukas, for making us part of your life, may the rest of your stay in South Africa be full of adventure and with lasting memories.

As you can see on the photos below, we even had a pigeon or two attending!!

Lots of things were discussed as well as feedback on the blanket drive, the Clubs involved raised more than R1m.

Up coming Events:

Barnyard:

Mike our treasurer will collect dictionaries for the tables at the event. Hopefully we can entice some of the corporate people to sponsor dictionaries to the needy students out there. Every dictionary helps.

The Greatest Train Race

This coming Saturday it is time to challenge the train between Witbank and Middleburg! Last year there were more than 23,000 participants at the event, who knows how many we will have this year. Due to commitments only PP Steve and the exchange student will represent the club.

Meeting

The meeting this week will be a business meeting.

Club Assembly

There will be a club assembly on the 29th of August at Twickenham. Please make sure you attend as this is where we discuss the way forward and present new projects.
