From Russia With Love

It was great to be able to relive their travels to England and Russia with David Marshall and his partner (also travelling partner) Hannah-Marie Bartlett.
David took us through a slide show of amongst other places Englands' Lake District and then of course St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The camper van David and Hannah used in England and the boat on the Volga
They did a boat trip on the Volga between the two cities and came back awed by the opulence and beauty of both cities and the many other places in between where they stopped over.

The Russian tour, which lasts 13 days, was arranged by AndrĂ©-Toere of Potchefstroom and only cost R30 000, all flights included.

Thanks David for a fascinating trip through a country we know so little about.
The speaker tomorrow is Dr Nobs Mwanda Motjuwadi of Copessa, who will be talking about her work with abused and neglected children.
Copessa (Community-based Prevention and Empowerment Strategies in South Africa) is a community-based organisation whose reason for being is the prevention of violence against children.
As President Judy Sligcher has reminded us, we'll also have to vote by a two thirds majority to change the club constitution to comply with requirements for gaining PBO status, through which the club is granted tax exemption.
The club is also inducting two new members. Hannes Dressler is transferring from the Rotary Club of Moscow. The second new member is Adele Dabbs, who came to the club through her friendship with Helene Bramwell.
