Build-up

There is a good... no... make that a great reason why I call this post "Build-up", but more about that later in the blog.

The meeting this week was chaired by President-Elect (and Past President) Paul Kasango.

PP Paul Kasango (Head) with Carl Chemaly and Rusty van der Wald (left front)

The meeting turned out to be the usual high spirited bantering and lively discussions around upcoming events. (see the topics below) Ian gave feedback on the trials and tribulations of applying for a Global Grant. I think the man needs a Bell's by now... or maybe the bottle?

Ian, always looking for the positive

I think what prompted the positive outlook was Rusty's remark during the brag, which was then echoed by Emilio with his brag. A long story short, Ian will have to schedule a talk focusing on the positive side of things in South Africa. I for one, can't wait...

We do have a few aces up our sleeves. Rusty van der Wald, Emilio Kiyeta Yamfu and Carl Chemaly were back for the umpteenth time and it is time to slap a name tag on them and make them part of the furniture! ... and this is the reason I called this post "Build-up"

Ian, Emilio, and Rusty

One of those rare moments in the club is when Mike MacDonald is vocal during the brag. Normally he is the sound of silence, but the words of wisdom flowed when it was his turn to brag!

A thought...
On with the dance, let joy be unconfined is my motto, whether there's any dance to dance or any joy to unconfine.
