It was a happy spring day on Saturday for the club as well as for the Sligcher family in London, with the birth of their second granddaughter.
Mother and child are doing well, Jankees reports.
Jankees and Judy's daughter, Genevieve, gave birth to Juniper May Jamieson on 28 August. She weighed in at a sizeable 4.3kg.

We had our own fun at our Spring Day fellowship event at the Nagy home in Craighall Park on Saturday.
Here are the photographs to prove it.

Hats off! Ian and Linda share a laugh |

There's Ian again. He had to leave early, leaving Julian wandering around the garden holding his glass up to anybody who passed by and saying "Nazdarovya" to one and all |

It was Julian's idea to have a party at their home and our gracious hosts pulled out all the stops |

The weather treated us kindly and it remained warm even after dark. Peter James-Smith, Julian, Jeanne and Steve share a table. Above are Greg and Debbie Smith with Joan and Carol |

The Nagy garden was a feast for the eyes and it was great to be able to sit out on the lawn under the trees |

There she is! The photographer often misses out on being in the photo's. Here Jenine Coetzer shares a laugh with Debbie de Vries |

Jeanne and Peter James-Smith are always welcome back at New Dawn |
Once again thanks to Julian and Debby Nagy for the effort you put into make it such a successful evening. It gives everyone a chance to catch up and there were even a few conversations about Rotary business to be heard during the evening.
There's of course always Rotary work to be done and this weekend it was the Jozi Book Fair that kept especially Frayne Mathijs busy.

Val Morris, Frayne and Linda at the Jozi Book Fair stall |
This was the 10th annual Jozi Book Fair and. as in the past few years, it was held at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, opposite the Market Theatre.
Not many club members could take the time off to pay Frayne a visit, but a few of us did manage to go.
New Dawn shares a stall with Books in Homes, a project now being run by the Penreach NGO of Nelspruit/Mbombela. Frayne took down scores of contact details of people who are interested in books from the Humanitarian Centre, but also from some who were interested in learning more about Rotary and our club.
A Bonus this year was that two of the Rotaract members joined Frayne and Val at the fair and helped out a bit at the stall.
